New Brunswick Train Station

 

Built in 1903, the New Brunswick train station lies in the heart of the Northeast Corridor between Boston and Washington DC.  It is easily accessible to Newark International Airport, New York City and Rutgers!  For train schedules and more information visit: http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=TrainTo.

Rutgers Buses

 

There are 11 bus lines that serve all 5 residential communities of Rutgers New Brunswick.  Make sure you visit Next Bus: http://www.nextbus.com/predictor/stopSelector.jsp?a=rutgers

to learn the routes and find out when the next bus is coming. There are live tickers at each bus stop that tell you when to expect the next bus. The Next Bus website is also compatible on your smart phone so you can check it on th go!

Newark Airport

 

Newark International Airport is located about 15 miles from Manhattan and is easily accessible to campus via New Jersey Transit.  It is a major hub for United Airlines, but serves many other foreign and domestic carriers including Southwest, JetBlue, and Virgin America.  If you are flying to Rutegrs use Newark Airport. There is a train that goes directly from Newark airport to the New Brunswick train station! From there you can just take a Rutgers bus to your dorm room.

Cars on Campus

 

You can have a car on campus, even as a freshman! To have a car on campus you do have to pay for a parking permit. More information on parking permits can be found here: http://rudots.rutgers.edu/faq.shtml.
